Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this afternoon from Snow Junior College (UT) linebacker Mataira Brown. Brown is a 6-foot-3 230-pound true freshman who will have four years to complete his final three seasons of eligibility.

Through 11 games with the Badgers this season, Brown has collected 47 tackles, 9.5 tackles-for-loss, 0.5 sacks, 1 pass breakup, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. The Aggies were the only offer Brown had received.
