I’m ready to hand out the game balls after the Aggies BIG 41-20 Senior Day home win over San Diego State University.

My offensive game ball will go to junior quarterback Bryson Barnes. Barnes completed 13 of 15 passes for 139 yards and three touchdowns. He also carried the ball 15 times for 193 yards and another touchdown. Barnes came off the bench for injured quarterback Spencer Petras and did an admirable job of leading the Aggies to victory.

I’m going to hand out two defensive game balls this week.

My first defensive game ball will go to junior linebacker Jadon Pearson. Pearson tied for the team lead by recording 10 tackles, including 3 solo tackles and 7 assisted tackles. He also recorded 0.5 tackles-for-loss and broke up a pass.

My second defensive game ball will go to senior EDGE rush defensive end Cian Slone. Slone recorded 9 tackles, including 5 solo tackles and 4 assisted tackles. He also recorded 1.5 tackles-for-loss, 0.5 sacks, and a career-high 3 QB hurries.

My special teams player of the game goes to senior punter Stephen Kotsanlee. Kotsanlee booted the ball four times including a long punt of 53 yards for an average of 45.2 yards per punt. He also landed two of his kicks inside the 20-yard line.
