Utah State received a verbal commitment from University of Missouri punter Will Safris. Safris is a 5-foot-10 175-pound true freshman who will join the Aggies in time for spring ball. Safris will enter spring ball as a redshirt freshman, with four years of eligibility remaining.
In his only season with the Tigers, Safris did not see any action while utilizing his redshirt season.
According to Kohl’s Kicking, Safris was rated as a 5* and was the 33rd-best kicking prospect in the country. He originally held offers from Memphis and Missouri. It appears that Utah State was his only offer after entering the transfer portal.
Safris becomes the seventh transfer portal signing/commitment of the Bronco Mendenhall era here at Utah State and the tenth signing/commitment overall joining Snow JC (UT) safety Titan Saxton, Viewmont HS (UT) safety Ryan Tillman, Lehi HS (UT) cornerback Abe Jager, New Mexico long snapper Hyrum Hatch, New Mexico cornerback DJ Mayes, New Mexico cornerback Bryson Taylor, Hampton long snapper Owen Edwards, Utah Tech safety Brevin Hamblin, and New Mexico running back Javen Jacobs.
