Utah State received a verbal commitment from byu running back Miles Davis tonight. Davis is a 6-foot- 215-pound junior who will join the Aggies in time for spring ball. Davis will enter spring ball as a senior and use his final season of eligibility at Utah State.

Last season with the cougars Davis carried the ball 18 times for 76 yards and caught 5 passes for 68 yards and a touchdown.

According to 247sports coming out of Las Vegas High (NV), Davis was rated as the 279th-best wide receiver, and the 13th-best prospect overall in Nevada. Davis originally held offers from byu and UNLV. It appears that Utah State is his only offer after entering the transfer portal.

Davis becomes the ninth transfer portal signing/commitment of the Bronco Mendenhall era here at Utah State and the twelfth signing/commitment overall joining Snow JC (UT) safety Titan Saxton, Viewmont HS (UT) safety Ryan Tillman, Lehi HS (UT) cornerback Abe Jager, New Mexico long snapper Hyrum Hatch, New Mexico cornerback DJ Mayes, New Mexico cornerback Bryson Taylor, Hampton long snapper Owen Edwards, Utah Tech safety Brevin Hamblin, New Mexico running back Javen Jacobs, Missouri punter Will Safris, and UCLA wide receiver Braden Pegan
