Utah State received a verbal commitment tonight from Saddleback Community College (CA) punter Dylan Sprague. Sprague is a 6-foot-0 175-pound sophomore who will join the Aggies in time for spring ball. Sprague will enter spring ball as a junior and have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
In his final season with the Bobcats, Sprague booted the ball 34 times for an average of 34.0 yards per punt, landing 11 punts inside the 20-yard line and forcing 3 fair catches. It appears that Utah State was his only offer.
According to Chris Sailer Kicking, Sprague was rated as a 4.5* and was the 60th-best kicking prospect in the country.
Sprague becomes the fourth junior college signing/commitment of the Bronco Mendenhall era here at Utah State and the nineteenth signing/commitment overall joining Snow JC (UT) safety Titan Saxton, Viewmont HS (UT) safety Ryan Tillman, Lehi HS (UT) cornerback Abe Jager, New Mexico long snapper Hyrum Hatch, New Mexico cornerback DJ Mayes, New Mexico cornerback Bryson Taylor, Hampton long snapper Owen Edwards, Utah Tech safety Brevin Hamblin, New Mexico running back Javen Jacobs, Missouri punter Will Safris, UCLA wide receiver Braden Pegan, byu running back Miles Davis, New Mexico Military Institute (NM) linebacker Sampson Alofipo, Mount San Antonio CC (CA) defensive tackle Kone Aumua Uiagalelei, Ridgeline HS (UT) quarterback Kaden Cox, Lafayette College defensive end Tyree Morris, University of Cincinnati kicker Carter Brown, and New Mexico cornerback Bobby Arnold.
