Utah State received a verbal commitment today from byu offensive lineman Jake Eichorn. Eichorn is a 6-foot-5, 300-pound junior who will join the Aggies in time for spring ball. He will enter spring ball as a senior and with one season of eligibility remaining.

In his final season with the cougars Eichorn saw action in 9 games. Upon entering the transfer portal in 2023, he received offers from Incarnate Word, Liberty, Nevada, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Old Dominion, San Diego State, Utah State, Utah Tech, Washington State, and Wyoming before signing with byu. It appears that Utah State is his only offer out of the transfer portal this time around.

Eichorn becomes the fifteenth transfer portal signing/commitment of the Bronco Mendenhall era here at Utah State and the twenty-first signing/commitment overall joining Snow JC (UT) safety Titan Saxton, Viewmont HS (UT) safety Ryan Tillman, Lehi HS (UT) cornerback Abe Jager, New Mexico long snapper Hyrum Hatch, New Mexico cornerback DJ Mayes, New Mexico cornerback Bryson Taylor, Hampton long snapper Owen Edwards, Utah Tech safety Brevin Hamblin, New Mexico running back Javen Jacobs, Missouri punter Will Safris, UCLA wide receiver Braden Pegan, byu running back Miles Davis, New Mexico Military Institute (NM) linebacker Sampson Alofipo, Mount San Antonio CC (CA) defensive tackle Kone Aumua Uiagalelei,  Ridgeline HS (UT) quarterback Kaden Cox, Lafayette College defensive end Tyree Morris, University of Cincinnati kicker Carter Brown, New Mexico cornerback Bobby Arnold, Saddleback CC (CA) punter Dylan Sprague, and UNLV wide receiver Corey Thompson Jr.
