Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this afternoon from former Texas A&M-Corpus Christi forward Garry Clark. Clark is 6-foot-8 and 210 pounds. The graduate senior is the beneficiary of the NCAA granting an extra season of eligibility to players who spent a portion of their careers at a Junior College, and he will use his final season of eligibility when he joins the Aggies for the 2025-26 season. Clark committed to the Aggies just days after his official visit to the Utah State campus last Friday.

Last season, Clark averaged 14.9 points per game while shooting 54.9% from the field, 33.3% from behind the three-point line, and 57.8% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 7.7 rebounds, handed out 1.2 assists, and swatted 0.4 shots per game. Clark earned a first-team all-Southland Conference selection for his strong performance last season.

Clark had interest from California, Charlotte, Clemson, George Washington, Minnesota, Nebraska, Washington State, New Mexico State, and Virginia.

During his 3-year career with the Jaguars and Tarleton State University, Clark played in 97 games with 67 starts, and averaged 11.2 points per game while shooting 53.1% from the field, 30.5% from behind the three-point line, and 62.3% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 6.1 rebounds, handed out 1.0 assists, and swiped 0.7 steals per game.

Clark is the first commitment of the Aggies’ 2025 spring recruiting cycle.
