Utah State has received a verbal commitment from Purdue University offensive lineman Jimmy Liston. Liston is 6-foot-5, 305 pounds, and will enter the 2025 season as a sophomore and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

During his 2-year career with the Boilermakers, he saw action in 4 games.

According to 247sports, coming out of Fenwick High School (IL), Liston was rated as the 1,385th-best player nationally, the 58th-best interior offensive lineman, and the 28th-best player in the State of Illinois. He originally held offers from Arizona State, Ball State, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Mississippi, Penn State, Purdue, and Texas Tech. Liston chose the Aggies over offers from Arkansas State, Ball State, Kennesaw State, Kent State, Liberty, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, and Tulsa.

Liston becomes the Aggies second post-spring ball transfer portal addition, joining Elon cornerback Dylan Tucker.
