Utah State has received a verbal commitment from former byu punter Landon Rehkow. Rehkow is 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, and will enter the 2025 season as a sophomore who will three years of eligibility remaining. Rehkow made his decision just a few days after visiting the campus last week.
During his 2-year career with the cougars, Rehkow saw action in 5 games, punting 5 times for an average of 36.0 yards per punt.
According to 247sports, coming out of Central Valley High School (WA), Rehkow was rated as the 18th-best punter nationally, and the 196th-best player in the State of Washington. He originally held offers from byu (preferred walk-on) and Idaho. Upon entering the transfer portal, it appears that Utah State was his only offer.
Rehkow becomes the Aggies fifth post-spring ball transfer portal addition, joining Elon cornerback Dylan Tucker, Purdue offensive lineman Jimmy Liston, California EDGE rush defensive end John Gayer, and New Mexico State defensive tackle Naki Fahina.
