Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from former Air Force Academy WING Luke Kearney. Kearney is 6-foot-7, 215 pounds and will enter the 2025-26 season as a junior with two years of eligibility remaining. Kearney committed to the Aggies just days after his official visit to the Utah State campus.

Last season, Kearney saw action in 32 games with 22 starts and averaged 8.9 points per game, shooting 38.9% from the field, 32.7% from behind the three-point line, and 83.9% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 2.7 rebounds, handed out 0.9 assists, and swiped 0.7 steals per game.

During his 2-year career with the Falcons, Kearney played in 53 games with 22 starts, and averaged 6.9 points per game while shooting 38.8% from the field, 32.0% from behind the three-point line, and 84.1% from the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 2.0 rebounds, handed out 0.7 assists, and swiped 0.5 steals per game.

Coming out of Bella Vista Prep Academy (AZ), Air Force was the only offer for Kearney. Once he entered the transfer portal, he chose the Aggies over offers from Cal-Baptist, Indiana State, Liberty, North Dakota State, Northeastern, Northern Arizona, Seattle, and UC-San Diego.

Kearney is the fifth and final commitment of the Aggies’ 2025 spring recruiting cycle, joining Texas A&M-Corpus Christi forward Garry Clark, university of utah forward Zach Keller, Vanderbilt University WING MJ Collins, and Butler University guard Kolby King.
