The Aggies opened the 2025 season with an encouraging 28-16 win over the UTEP Miners. Now it’s time to hand out the first game balls of the new season.

My offensive game ball will go to senior running back Miles Davis. Davis showed off his versatility by affecting the game in multiple ways. Davis toted the rock 12 times for 88 yards and 1 touchdown, including a long run of 58 yards on the touchdown. He also snagged 6 passes for another 61 yards, including a reception that went for 30 yards. Davis also added 2 kick returns for 35 more yards.

My defensive game ball will go to senior linebacker John Miller. Miller picked right up where he left off last season, finishing second on the team in tackles with 10. He also posted game highs in tackles-for-loss with 1.5, and tied for the team lead in sacks with 1.0.

My special teams game ball will go to junior Tanner Rinker. Kicking in his first career FBS game, Rinker was money, knocking down both of his field goal attempts from 49 and 28 yards out and hitting both of his PATs.
