Utah State has received a verbal commitment from New Mexico State defensive tackle Ta’avili Tuitama. Tuitama is 6-foot-3, 306 pounds. Tuitama will join the Aggies in time for spring ball and have one year of eligibility remaining.

Tuitama had a solid season for the Southern Aggies in 2025, collecting 20 tackles, 4.0 tackles-for-loss, 3.5 sacks, and 18 quarterback hurries.

According to On3 Sports, Tuitama is rated as the 1,151st-best transfer portal player nationally and the 112th-best defensive tackle. Tuitama chose the Aggies after taking his official visit last weekend.

Tuitama becomes the first transfer portal commitment and the twentieth signing/commitment for the Aggies recruiting class of 2026, joining Bishop Gorman HS (NV) wide receiver Kaina Watson.
