2026 OUTLOOK

JAVEN JACOBS
Senior Javen Jacobs finished last season very strong down the stretch and cemented himself as the Aggies’ lead back heading into 2026.

As a junior season with the Aggies, Jacobs played in 13 games with 10 starts and toted the rock 65 times for 429 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also snagged 43 passes for 379 yards and 3 more touchdowns.

During his 4-year career at Utah State, the University of New Mexico, and Arizona State University, he has played in 35 games with 10 starts and totaled 108 carries, 714 yards, and 8 touchdowns. He has also caught 60 passes for 509 yards and 4 touchdowns.

According to 247sports, Jacobs was rated at the 2,077th-best transfer portal player nationally, and the 156th-best running back. Once he entered the transfer portal, it appears the Aggies were his intended destination. He originally held offers from Arizona State, Air Force, Army, Colorado, Colorado State, Idaho, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Portland State, and Yale.

Jacobs is a dynamic player who has a ton of versatility to his game. He can line up in the backfield, in the slot, or out wide, and he’s a threat no matter where he is on the field. His talents are best utilized in space, getting outside the tackles and blowing by defenders with his speed. He has nice vision on the field, finding the hole and bursting through for chunk yardage. He is a skilled route-runner and has solid hands. His crisp routes and good footwork leave him wide open to pick up big yardage running after the catch.

SESI VAILAHI
Sesi Vailahi is a transfer from Oklahoma State University who will enter the 2026 season as a junior with two years of eligibility remaining. Vailahi has a brother, Lava, who is a redshirt freshman safety with the Aggies.

As a sophomore last season with the Cowboys, Vailahi played in 12 games with 1 start and carried the ball 42 times for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also snagged 8 passes for 54 yards.

During his 3-year career at Oklahoma State University, he has played in 26 games with 3 starts, totaling 90 carries for 278 yards and 4 touchdowns. He caught 18 passes for 112 yards.

According to 247Sports, Vailahi is rated as the 1,242nd-best transfer portal player nationally and the 90th-best running back. Utah State was Vailahi’s first transfer portal offer, and he accepted not long after being offered. He originally held offers from byu, Idaho State, Nevada, Oklahoma State, Southern Utah, and Utah State.

Vailahi is a fantastic athlete who can do about anything asked of him. His attitude and mature demeanor make him an instant favorite amongst his peers. He has great size for a running back. Once he gets into the second level of the defense, he has a second gear that kicks in, and he can put his breakaway speed on display. His strength will allow him to battle for the tough yards between the tackles. His agility and quick decision-making make him a red-zone threat. He is a very good receiver out of the backfield and will give the Aggies a great 1-2 punch. He compares favorably to former Aggie, turned Cowboy, Jaylen Warren.

NOAH WHITE
Sophomore Noah White is coming off a good first season with the Aggies, where he saw action on both offense and special teams.

As a true freshman with the Aggies last season, White picked up 25 carries for 101 yards. He also caught 8 passes for 149 yards.

During his 3-year high school career at Ridgeline High School (UT), he played in 28 games with 23 starts and totalled 433 carries for 3,077yards and 28 touchdowns. He also hauled in 84 passes for 813 yards and 6 touchdowns.

White initially agreed to join the Aggies as a preferred walk-on, but after turning in a very strong performance during spring ball in 2025, he was awarded a scholarship.

If I had to choose one word to describe White as a running back, it would be electric. He has breakaway speed and is hard to bring down once he gets in the open field. He bounces off tackles and is rarely taken down by the first man. He possesses an array of jump, juke, and spin moves to evade opposing defenders. He hits holes with full force and gives maximum effort every single down. He can catch the ball out in space and is every bit as good at receiver as he is at running back. He began to show his value as a kick returner last season as well.

RAVIAN LARRY
Redshirt freshman Ravian Larry will battle for reps in fall camp.

As a true freshman last season, Larry saw action in 1 game with 0 starts and carried the ball 1 time for 2 yards. Due to only playing in one game, he was able to preserve his redshirt season.

During his 3-year high school career with the Warriors, he played in 24 games with 24 starts and totalled 275 carries for 2,071 yards and 26 touchdowns.

According to 247sports, Larry was rated as the 2,194th-best player nationally, the 152nd-best running back, and the 35th-best prospect overall in Oklahoma. He chose the Aggies over offers from Colorado, North Texas, Sam Houston State, SMU, and Texas-San Antonio.

Larry does most of his work between the tackles using his strong lower body to grind for yardage. He is skilled at absorbing contact and maintaining his balance, rolling off would-be tacklers and falling forward for extra yardage. He displays a nice feel for the game and has good field vision, which allows him to find an opening at the line and burst through the trenches. However, don’t be fooled by his preference for a power game; once he hits the second level of the defense, he possesses the ability to break a run off for a touchdown. Although he wasn’t used much in the passing game, he does have great hands out of the backfield.

NEHEMIAH WASHINGTON
Redshirt freshman Nehemiah Washington will battle for reps in fall camp.

As a true freshman last season, Washington saw action in 3 games with 0 starts and carried the ball 1 time for 6 yards. Due to only playing in three games, he was able to preserve his redshirt season.

During his 2-year high school career with the Gators, he played in 10 games with 10 starts and totalled 167 carries for 1,262 yards and 18 touchdowns.

According to 247sports, Washington was rated as the 177th-best running back nationally and the 34th-best prospect overall in Washington. He chose the Aggies over offers from Central Washington, Idaho (PWO), Minot State, and South Dakota State.

Missing his senior season due to injury really hurt Washington’s recruiting. I think the Aggies have a diamond in the rough waiting to be polished by Aggie Running Back Coach Kirk Garner.

Washington is at his best going off tackle with a nice burst of speed as he turns the corner to blow by the defense. He has nice lateral agility that helps him tremendously to get to the edge. Once he gets out in the open and commits to a direction, he changes speed and kicks into another gear and becomes a threat to take it to the house. It will be a work in progress, but he can be a patient runner when he needs to be. He is a big play threat every time he touches the ball due to his ability to see the field, thanks to his athleticism and electric speed.

TRE KOFE
Adding depth to the position is sophomore preferred walk-on Tre Kofe.

Kofe saw action in 1 game last season with 0 starts and did not record any stats. He spent most of the 2025 season as a member of the Aggie practice squad.

During his 4-year high school career at Corner Canyon High School (UT) and Hillcrest High School (ID), he played in 42 games with 30 starts and totalled 376 carries for 2,928 yards and 31 touchdowns.

According to 247sports, Kofe was rated as the 200th-best running back nationally, and the 68th-best prospect overall in Utah. He chose the Aggies over offers from Idaho, Idaho State, and La Verne.

Kofe is a great pick-up as an in-state walk-on. He sees the opening at the line of scrimmage very well. Once the hole opens up, he can make one cut and get into the second level of the defense quickly. He has respectable speed and is rarely caught from behind once he is in the open field. He is also a very capable pass catcher and could be a threat out of the backfield in that capacity as well.

BREVIN EGBERT
True freshman preferred walk-on Brevin Egbert will add quality depth to the position.

Egbert joined the Aggies in time for spring ball after returning from serving a church mission.

During his 2-year high school career at Sky View High School (UT), he played in 21 games with 21 starts and amassed 397 carries for 2,817 yards and 36 touchdowns. He also pulled in 52 passes for 463 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Egbert had a breakout senior season. His elite track and field skills translate very well to the football field. He has a quick burst as he breaks through the line of scrimmage. His agility helps him avoid opposing tacklers as he hits the second level of the defense. He has a nice combination of quickness and balance. As he accelerates upfield, he is able to absorb hits, remain on his feet, and continue running. He has proven to be a capable receiver out of the backfield, skillfully watching the ball into his hands before he makes a move upfield.
