The Aggies left no doubt on the field, easily dispatching the University of Nevada Wolfpack by the score of 51-14.
My first offensive game ball will go to senior quarterback Bryson Barnes. Barnes put on a solid performance Saturday night, completing 20 of his 27 passes (74.1%) for 288 yards and three touchdowns, while also toting the rock 9 times for 40 yards. He Barnes has now completed 154 passes in 236 attempts (65.3%), for 2,096 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. He also has 113 carries for 407 yards and 7 touchdowns.
I will also add a second offensive game ball this week; this one will go to senior wide receiver Brady Boyd. Boyd led the team in receptions and yardage by hauling in 5 receptions for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Boyd’s scoring receptions covered 53 and 21 yards, and his long reception of the night went for 53 yards. Boyd now has 34 receptions for 548 yards and 5 touchdowns.
My defensive game ball will go to junior boundary safety Brevin Hamblin. Hamblin led the team in tackles with 8, collecting 2 solo tackles and was in on 5 assisted tackles. He also recorded 1.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 sack, recovered a fumble, and returned an interception 38 yards for a touchdown. Hamblin now has 69 tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 sack, 6 pass breakups, 1 fumble recovery, and returned his only interception for a touchdown.
My special teams game ball will go to junior kicker Tanner Rinker. Rinker knocked down all three of his field goal attempts from 21, 32, and 44 yards out and hit all six of his PATs. For the season, Rinker remains perfect, hitting all 10 of his field goal attempts and connecting on 33 of 34 PAT tries.
