I absolutely HAVE to hand out two offensive recruit of the week awards this week.

My first offensive recruit of the week is going to Bellville High (TX) running back Robert Briggs. In a BIG 56-10 win over Sweeny High (TX), Robert turned in a monster game, picking up 216 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on just 10 carries. He also pulled in 1 reception for 39 yards and another touchdown. Robert also added 21 kick return yards and 48 punt return yards.

My second offensive recruit of the week will be going to Spring High (TX) quarterback Bishop Davenport. In a 65-13 thrashing of MacArthur High (TX), Bishop picked apart the defensive completing 20 of his 24 passes for 297 yards and 6 touchdowns. He also added 4 carries for 33 yards and another touchdown on the ground.

I’ll be handing out a trio of defensive recruits of the week as well.

My first defensive recruit of the week is going to Lone Peak High (UT) linebacker Kao Hansen. During a hard-fought 21-14 victory over Bingham High (UT), Kao racked up 7 tackles and 2 pass breakups.

My second defensive recruit of the week will be going to Mesquite High (TX) linebacker Josh Williams. During a big 21-0 win over Tyler Legacy High (TX), Josh led the way for the Skeeters rolling up 8 tackles.

My third defensive recruit of the week is going to Liberty High (NV) safety Saco Alofipo. In a 30-8 playoff win over Arbor View High (NV), Saco played a huge role in the victory, making 8 tackles, 2.0 tackles-for-loss and 1.0 sack.
