Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this afternoon from Ventura Community College (CA) wide receiver Tim Grear. Grear was in Logan on his official visit over the weekend and chose to make it official today. Grear is a 6 foot 2 175-pound redshirt freshman and he will join the Aggies for the 2023 season and enroll in time for spring football. He will have three years to complete his final three seasons of eligibility. Grear had a standout season for the Pirates hauling in 43 passes for 764 yards and 7 touchdowns. With the graduation of Brian Cobbs and Justin McGriff, Grear will be counted on to compete for a starting spot immediately.  Grear is the seventh junior college commitment and the thirteenth commitment overall for the Aggies 2023 recruiting cycle. At the time of his commitment, Grear held offers from Arkansas State, Ball State, Buffalo, Central Arkansas, Fresno State, Liberty, Louisiana-Monroe, Miami (OH), San Diego State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Troy State, UNLV, Washington State. Grear wrapped up his collegiate career with a 32-47 shootout loss to Riverside Community College (CA) in the CCCAA Southern California Regional Semi-Finals.
