My offensive game ball is going to junior wide receiver Jalen Royals. In what is beginning to become a regular appearance, Royals enjoyed having a HUGE game for the third straight week after snaring seven passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns and converting a two-point attempt. The scoring plays included receptions of 29 and 52 yards. Royals has now scored seven touchdowns over the last three games.
My defensive player of the game goes to graduate senior linebacker MJ Tafisi. Tafisi finished the game with an astounding 17 tackles, including four solo tackles and thirteen assisted tackles. He also recorded a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.
My special teams player of the game goes to redshirt freshman punter Ryan Marks. Marking just his first full game as the active punter, Marks booted the ball four times including a long punt of 46 yards for an average of 41.8 yards per punt. Marks also landed two of his punts inside the 20.
