Utah State picked up a verbal commitment this morning from Mountain Ridge High (UT) offensive tackle Adam Hawkes. Hawkes is a 6-foot-6 275-pound senior who just finished his final season helping the Sentinels to a 7 and 3 record and advancing to the second round of the Utah State 6A Playoffs. Hawkes started all 10 games on the offensive line in 2023. He will be joining the Aggies for the 2024 season and sign his letter of intent during the early signing period that begins December 20th. At the time of his commitment, Hawkes also had offers from Idaho State and Montana. When asked what led him to choose the Aggies, he replied, “The coaches for sure! LOVE the staff!” Hawkes is the sixth high school commitment and the seventh commitment overall for the Aggies 2024 recruiting cycle, joining Casteel High (AZ) offensive lineman Camden Jury, Helix High (CA) quarterback Ryland Jessee, Lehi High (UT) tight end Grayson Brousseau, and Corner Canyon High (UT) wide receiver Tate Kjar, Mater Dei High (CA) linebacker Tanner Williams and junior college commit Rochester C&T (MN) EDGE rush end Keshawn Johnson.
