2024-2025 Season Review:
Conference Prediction: #11 in the Mountain West
Overview: Fresno State looks to turn over a new leaf by hiring Clovis HS Head Coach Vance Walberg (had stints in college and the NBA prior). Due to transfers and graduation the team returns very little of the production from last year and will look to start from scratch with new additions that includes a 4-star HS big man recruit, two JC player of the year players and the horizon league freshman of the year.
Production Returning: Scoring 8% (returning), Rebounding 13%, Assists 6%, Blocks 27%, Minutes 9%
Key losses: Isaiah Hill (Graduation), Xavier Dusell (Transfer to Nevada), Isaiah Pope (Graduation), Donavan Yap (Transfer to SJSU), Enoch Baokye (Transfer to Villanova), Eduardo Andrew (Transfer to West Virginia), Leo Colimerio (Transfer to Queens)
Key Returners: Jalen Weaver (Guard who came off the bench and averaged 7 ppg)
Newcomers:
- Mor Seck: Center who averaged 4 ppg/3 rebounds at Hawaii
- Brian Amuneke: Freshman 2 guard
- Makhan Diouf: Freshman Forward/Center. 4-star signee
- David Douglas: Transfer guard, Horizon league freshman of the year while at Green Bay
- Rippen Gill: Freshman guard
- Mykell Robinson: JC transfer wing, averaged 12 ppg last year
- Zaon Collins: JC point guard transfer where he averaged 6 ppg and 5 assists Salt Lake Community College. Was a high school top 50 recruit.
- Pasha Shemirani: Freshman wing signee
- Alex Crawford: JC forward signee where he averaged 15/6. Shot 43% from 3 and 65% from 2
- Pierre Geneste: 6’11” forward transfer from LA Tech where he played sparingly
- Joshua Bonga: Freshman shooting guard from Germany
- Elijah Price: Forward transfer from Drake where he redshirted his only year
- Amar Augillard: Shooting guard who was named JC player of the year after averaging 23 ppg
- Jasir Tremble: Div III JC 2nd team all-american point guard. Averaged 23 ppg
Strongest Position: The guard/wing spots. Included in this group is Horizon freshman of the year David Douglas, JC POY Amar Augillard and returning player Jalen Weaver.
Biggest Question Mark(s): The majority of the new guys either came from JC or high school. Question marks across the roster.
