2026-27 OUTLOOK

CONNOR TURNBULL

Connor Turnbull is a transfer from the University of Evansville who will enter the 2026-27 season as a graduate senior and use his final season of eligibility with the Aggies.

As a senior with the Purple Aces last season,Turnbull played in 16 games with 14 starts and averaged 11.5 points per game while shooting 41.7 percent from the floor, 22.2 percent from behind the 3-point line and he shot 66.7 percent at the free-throw line. He averaged 6.1 boards, 1.1 assists, and 2.4 blocks.

During his 4-year career with the University of Evansville and at Butler University Turnbull has played in 79 games with 34 starts and averaged 7.1 points per game while shooting 50.5 percent from the floor, 30.9 percent from behind the 3-point line and he shot 69.1 percent at the free-throw line. He averaged 3.4 boards, 0.9 assists, and 1.6 blocks.

According to On3 Sports, once Turnbull entered the transfer portal, he was rated as the 426th-best transfer player nationally and the 44th-best center. Turnbull chose the Aggies over offers from several peer schools. He originally held offers from Butler, Indiana State, Kansas State, Missouri, and Saint Louis.

Turnbull may be the best Aggie center since Neemias Queta. He likes to play above the rim as often as possible by being a consistent threat to catch lob passes and finish strong at the rim with dunks and layups, which leads him to have one of the best shooting percentages in the country. He has a hook shot he likes to use deep in the paint, and he can connect using either hand, which is a huge plus. He is a solid threat in the pick-and-roll because he can step back and hit an adequate percentage of his three-point tries. He also has a mid-range floater/runner he likes to use as opposed to trying to get to the hoop every time. He passes well out of double-teams and displays patience when doing so, as opposed to panicking and just getting rid of the ball. He is an incredibly explosive shot-blocker. His surprising athleticism gives him a quick pogo-stick-like vertical pop that allows him to contest and block shots effortlessly without needing a long gather or wind-up. He tracks the ball very well and has great hand-eye coordination. He can box out and rebound with force and isn’t afraid to mix it up down low. He possesses the nasty streak that bigs absolutely need to be effective in the rebounding department. If he can remain healthy and keep himself out of foul trouble on a regular basis, he has all the tools to be an all-conference caliber center.

COLLIN MULHOLLAND

Collin Mulholland is a transfer from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga who will enter the 2026-27 season as a junior and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

As a sophomore with the Mocs last season, Mulholland played in 23 games with 9 starts and averaged 7.6 points per game while shooting 44.2 percent from the floor, 21.7 percent from behind the 3-point line and he shot 81.6 percent at the free-throw line. He averaged 3.4 boards, 1.7 assists, and 0.5 blocks.

During his 3-year career with the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Mulholland has played in 59 games with 14 starts and averaged 6.6 points per game while shooting 46.2 percent from the floor, 29.7 percent from behind the 3-point line and he shot 78.8 percent at the free-throw line. He averaged 2.6 boards, 1.5 assists, and 0.3 steals.

It appears that Utah State was Mulholland’s first offer in the transfer portal, and he committed not long after his official visit.

Mulholland is developing a reliable offensive game. He has a versatile offensive skill set. He has a soft touch on shots around the rim to maintain his high percentage. He also can deploy two back-to-the-basket moves; one is close to a traditional skyhook, and the other is more like a floater. He is capable of doing a lot of damage down low. He has an exceptional career free-throw percentage, which means he’ll make opposing teams pay when they foul him. Once he steps to the outside of the floor, he becomes a threat out of screen-and-roll actions. His footwork is solid, and he has the touch to roll hard and finish around the rim, but he can also step outside. He has a very mechanically sound stroke for a big man. Once he sets a screen, he can step back and knock down a jumper, but he is also a very good catch-and-shoot guy from downtown. He possesses elite passing vision and basketball IQ for his size. He does a good job of looking over the court to find cutters or shooters for wide-open looks and functions incredibly well as a high-post or secondary facilitator. He relies heavily on his height and size to be effective in the rebounding department. He does his best to box out with toughness and his eye-hand coordination allow his to secure a loose ball with ease. He will not be mistaken as a shot blocker, but he will be athletic enough to adequately defend most opposing post players. Once fully healthy, he should be able to help the Aggies with his ability to stretch the floor and provide a solid second option at the five spot.

SEAN FELTS

Sean Felts is a transfer from Snow Junior College (UT), who will enter the 2026-27 season as a junior and will have three years of eligibility remaining due to the NCAA 5-years-to-play-5 ruling.

As a sophomore with the Badgers last season, Felts saw action in 33 games with 21 starts and averaged 13.1 points per game while shooting 58.9% from the field, 42.4% from behind the three-point line, and 62.7% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 6.7 rebounds, handed out 1.2 assists, swiped 0.6 steals, and swatted 0.8 shots per game.

During his 2-year career at Snow Junior College (UT), Felts played in 65 games with 31 starts, and averaged 9.1 points per game while shooting 59.5% from the field, 40.0% from behind the three-point line, and 63.0% at the free-throw stripe. He also pulled in 5.2 rebounds, handed out 0.9 assists, swiped 0.4 steals, and swatted 0.8 shots per game.

According to Jucorecruiting.com, Felts is rated as the 19th-best junior college player nationally, the 4th-best player in the West Region. He chose the Aggies over offers from Abilene Christian, Albany, Cal-State Bakersfield, Denver, Florida Gulf Coast, Iona, Jefferson University, Long Beach State, Mississippi, Oakland, Southern Utah, UC-Davis, Utah Tech, and Utah Valley.

Felts has a very skilled offensive game. He is essentially a stretch-4 in the body of a center. He is capable of scoring from three levels on the floor, starting with his ability to hit the three-ball. He can hit this shot from anywhere on the floor, which gives the team a whole other dimension when he is on the floor. He doesn’t really do much off the dribble but is excellent at turning a kickout pass into a catch-and-shoot opportunity. He is surprisingly mobile with solid hands, and that makes him an effective lob threat out of the pick and roll. He has a soft touch around the rim and has an accurate short-range floater once he gets below the free-throw line. However, he can also hit the mid-range jumper if he’s pushed too far outside. Felts is good at tracking the flight of the ball and boxing out accordingly. Although he gives up quite a bit of size to opposing centers, he will do his best to fight for positioning down low. His long arms are a plus, giving him a lengthy wingspan to take up space that fits nicely with his above-average athleticism. He has good lateral speed to help with in ball screen situations while still being able to pick up his own man quickly.
