For the third straight week, I will name two recruits of the week.
My first recruit of the week is going to North Shore High (TX) quarterback Kaleb Maryland. Maryland led the Mustangs to a 70-0 whooping of Channelview High (TX). Maryland was nearly perfect all night long, completing 10 of 11 passes (90.9%) for an amazing 327 yards and four touchdowns. He also carried the ball one time for 6 yards and scored another touchdown. This is Maryland’s third straight recruit of the week honor. Maryland and the Mustangs have won 6 straight games and will be looking for their seventh straight at home when they take on Atascocita High (TX), Friday night.
My second game ball will go to Copiah-Lincoln Community College (MS) outside linebacker Archie Chambers. During a 27-26 nail-biting win over Gulf Coast Community College (MS), Chambers racked up 4 solo tackles and 6 assisted tackles for a total of 10 tackles on the night. Chamber also snagged an interception that he returned 54 yards and broke up a pass. Chambers and the Wolves have now won 4 straight games and look to win their fifth straight game Thursday night at home against East Central Community College (MS).
