My recruit of the week for week sixteen is going to North Shore High (TX) quarterback Kaleb Maryland.
Maryland led the Mustangs to a definitive 54-27 victory over Cypress Falls High (TX) in the regional round of the Texas State 6A-D1 playoffs. Maryland was an efficient passer, completing 11 of 18 passes (61.1%) for 170 yards and three touchdowns. He also carried the ball 7 times for 48 yards. For the season, he has 157 completions on 240 attempts (65.4%), for 2,965 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions, while adding 84 carries, 448 yards, and 5 touchdowns
This is Maryland’s fourth recruit of the week honor this season.
Maryland and the Mustangs are currently 11 and 2 and now have their sights set on a quarterfinal showdown with Dickinson High (TX), Friday night.
