Utah State has received a verbal commitment from The Citadel EDGE rush defensive end Jeremiah Holmes. Holmes is 6-foot-3, 240 pounds, and will join the Aggies in time for spring ball and have one year of eligibility remaining. Holmes has spent the last two days on campus taking an official visit and gave the Aggie coaching staff his pledge before leaving.
Holmes racked up 36 tackles, 4.5 tackles-for-loss, 3.5 sacks, and 7 quarterback hurries for the Bulldogs in 2025.
Holmes chose the Aggies over offers from Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State, Memphis, Ohio, Tulane, and Western Kentucky
Following the December 3rd early signing period, Holmes becomes the thirteenth transfer portal commitment and the thirty-third signing/commitment for the Aggies recruiting class of 2026, joining Bishop Gorman HS (NV) wide receiver Kaina Watson, New Mexico State defensive tackle Ta’avili Tuitama, University of Saint Thomas (MN) EDGE rush defensive end Jordan Pendleton, Wyoming cornerback Markie Grant, Oklahoma State University safety David “DK” Kabongo, byu quarterback McCae Hillstead, Oklahoma State University offensive lineman Matt “Chewy” Wade, byu cornerback Marcus McKenzie, Mississippi Valley State EDGE rush defensive end Adonis Jackson, University of Arizona wide receiver Rex Haynes, Purdue University offensive lineman John Randle Jr., William and Mary University offensive lineman Kadin Lynch, and Coastal Carolina kicker Kian Afrookhteh as post-early signing period additions.
